Cancer is one of those disease that is the scourge of the planet, and although a huge amount of money is spent on research and cures worldwide it is a nemesis that medical science has yet to conquer.

One of the major forms of cancer in men is Prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed form of cancer in America, other than skin cancer. One out of every six American men will develop prostate cancer at some point in his life, and an American man is 33% more likely to get prostate cancer than an American woman is to get breast cancer which is a very sobering fact.

Prostate cancer in itself is not fatal although the cancer cells may spread or ‘metastasize’ to other vital areas of the body. This is a danger of any kind of cancer.

Whilst the prognosis is generally good sometimes the treatment can cause fatality as happened with my father in law. So no matter what your age make sure you familiarize yourself with potential symptoms so you if you ever have the disease it can be diagnosed early enabling a higher survivability rate.
